since 2006. During that time I've strived to be faithful to progressive
Democratic ideals. I've consistently sought more transparency and
accountability for Monroe County residents. I've listened to concerns
of constituents and acted to improve Monroe County. I respectfully

Fighting for Accountability and Transparency
- Led the charge that resulted in reforms at the Monroe County Water Authority
- Successfully fought for Brighton and Henrietta school funding in defeating the FAIR plan
- Forced an end to political patronage in the MCC presidential search
- Initiated the televising of Legislature proceedings
- Uncovered the fact that social security numbers were being exposed on the County Clerk's website
Creating a Better Future for Monroe County
- Successfully passed amendment expanding scope of free wireless broadband zones throughout Monroe County
- Supported a bipartisan effort to turn landfill waste into a renewable energy source that generates electricity to 4,000 homes
- Sponsored the Cord Blood Stem Cell Notification Law that led to passage as a NY State Law
- Proposed bill to reduce harmful diesel emissions and worked to preserve and protect Corbett's Glen
